Ribbon can be used as a kind of clothing accessories, also can be used as a kind of textiles. There are two main methods of dyeing the ribbon. The first is the most widely used dyeing (conventional dyeing), which is mainly to treat the ribbon in a chemical dye solution. Another method is to use paint, which is made into tiny insoluble colored particles that can be attached to the fabric (the dyeing of raw fiber is not included).

Dye is a kind of complex organic material, which has many kinds.

1, acid dyes, more suitable for protein fiber, nylon fiber and silk. Its characteristics are bright color, but poor washing degree, dry cleaning degree is excellent, in the use of natural dyeing more widely.

Cationic dye (alkaline fuel), suitable for acrylic, polyester, polyamide, fiber and protein fiber. It is characterized by bright color and is suitable for artificial fibers, but the washing and light resistance of natural cellulose and protein fabrics are very poor.

3. Direct dyes, suitable for cellulose fabrics, have poor washing fastness and different light fastness. However, the washing coloration of modified direct dyes can be well improved.

4, disperse dyes, suitable for viscose, acrylic, nylon, polyester, etc., washing fastness is different, polyester is good, viscose is bad.

5, azo fuel (naftod dye), suitable for cellulose fabrics, bright color, more suitable for bright color.

6, reactive dyes, mostly used for cellulose fabrics, less used for protein. It is characterized by bright color, light resistance, washing and friction resistance.

7, sulfur dyes, suitable for cellulose fabrics, dark color, mainly navy blue, black and brown, light resistance, water resistance is very good, chlorine bleaching resistance is poor, long-term storage fabric will damage the fiber.

8, VAT dyes, suitable for cellulose fabrics, light resistance, good washing, and chlorine bleaching and other oxidation bleaching.
